Payment of commission

Your GI agency number only needs to be inserted once into the system and this will also be automatically included for all subsequent applications.

To help ease the commission payment process please ensure you always quote your GI agency number.

The following steps describe the procedure for paying commission:

1. Policy details are input onto our computer system.

2. Direct debit or annual payment details are input - These details will be requested if they are not on the application. Once payment is received commission will be released.

All direct debit customers are required to have a 14 day initial cancellation period. At the end of the initial cancellation period any due payments are collected and commission is credited in full.

If your client intends to pay by direct debit, please ensure the following details are fully entered:

Name of account holder

Sort code

Account number and signature of the account holder.

Please note that a 6% service charge will be applied for HIC and BTL customers who choose to spread their payments monthly by direct debit.

3. Commission payments are calculated monthly, based on basic premiums (excluding IPT and/or service charge) Payments and statements are normally dispatched during the first week following the last day of the month. If a direct debit initial cancellation period occurs over the payment run period, it will be paid at the next payment run. Please note, payment may take up to six weeks. Remember, if your name and GI agency number are not completed on your submission, commission may be delayed.

If a direct debit payment is cancelled mid term, we will claw back any additional commission paid.

If you have any questions regarding your paid commission please contact 0121 633 6262 between 9.30 am to 5.00 pm Monday to Friday or email cau.mailbox@landg.com. You will receive a monthly GI statement from Legal & General outlining any general insurance commission you have earned.
