British Heart Foundation (BHF)
Our ongoing programme with the British Heart Foundation aims to make sure employers have access to straightforward information and help to encourage their staff to lead a healthy and active lifestyle. We aim to help promote the benefits of healthy living through a relevant and proactive campaign. We can provide:
- Free emergency life support training in a workplace. This is co-ordinated through a campaign called Heartstart UK and teaches employees how to deal with a suspected heart attack victim, give rescue breathing, and deal with choking.
- A free ‘Think Fit’ toolkit written by experts from the BHF.
The toolkit includes information, practical ideas and materials needed to increase the activity levels of staff and avoid some of the crucial issues facing today’s workforces - ill health, stress and low morale. All of these can lead to absenteeism and loss of productivity.
- Employer literature on activity, healthy eating and mental wellbeing, which can help employers promote a healthier lifestyle to their staff.
