Business protection needs.

Man in the office
Protecting profits

The business protection gap now includes:

  • Corporate debt gap of just under £300bn.
  • Shareholder protection gap of over £400bn.
  • Key person protection gap of over £400bn.

This means a lot of opportunities for you.

What is business protection?

  • Business protection helps protect your clients’ businesses by helping ensure that they can continue trading should a key person, partner or director die or contract a critical illness.
  • There is always an element of uncertainty when running a business. Equipment or products can be replaced and premises can be rebuilt, but the recovery of a person is not nearly as clear cut.
  • There are no guarantees that someone who has suffered a critical illness will be able to perform at the same level as before or even return to work. That’s why it’s especially important that critical illness cover, as well as life cover, is in place to help ensure that the business can cope financially if they lose a key member of staff.
  • The principles of business protection are similar to that of arranging any other type of protection. Only with business protection you will generally be dealing with higher sums assured and the claims may be paid out to a company, not a spouse or registered civil partner.

Types of business protection

We offer three main kinds of business protection:

Key Person Protection - continuation planning.

Partner/Director Share Protection - succession planning.

Business Loan Protection
