Chancellor Alastair Darling delivered his second budget on Wednesday 22 April 2009 and announced that the UK economy is facing its worst year since the end of the second-world war. Individual Stakeholder and Personal Pension 2000
2 March 2009 - Changes to single premium/transfers commission rate
Basic initial commission payable for single premiums/transfer payments with terms of 15 years or more, will reduce from 3.5% to 3%.
This change will take effect on 2 March 2009 and will apply to new business, including increments to existing plans.
- Applications forms and increments accompanied by illustrations dated pre 2 March 2009, which complete by the 3 April 2009 will be set up on the old terms.
- Applications forms and increments not accompanied by an illustration dated pre 2 March 2009 will be set up on the new terms.
