We're always looking to improve the online services and experiences that we offer to you, we would really appreciate your participation in this short survey to help achieve this. It should take you no longer than 2 minutes to complete.
These enhancements give significant and tangible benefits for customers and advisers. We believe this is now the quickest online protection system there is of its kind in the market.
You’ll need an agency agreement and agency number.
Yes. If you are here for the first time and are looking to write business with Legal & General you will need to apply for an agency number.
Yes. Once you have a Legal & General agency number, you need to register to take advantage of our eServices (including OLP Connect). Find out more.
As part of the online registration process, you’ll be asked to create a password of your choice. The format criteria for an acceptable password are as follows: between 7 and 12 characters (letters and numbers only), must include a mixture of letters and numbers, must end with a letter. Sequential* characters are not allowed [*This includes alphabetical sequences (e.g. abcd), numerical sequences (e.g. 1234) or sequences on a standard keyboard (e.g. QWERTY)]
Ideally don’t write your password down or save it where others can find out what it is. If you think someone may have found out your login details, please contact our Registrations Team so we can issue you with a new password.
You should not share your password or login ID with anyone else. If a colleague needs access to your protection applications, they should register themselves and they’ll get their own login details.
Your password doesn’t expire, but for security purposes, you may wish to change it from time to time. Just contact our Registrations Team and, after asking you some security questions, they’ll issue you with a temporary password that you can change to a new password of your choice when you next log in. The same password format criteria apply as when you first registered (see above)
If you mis-type your password when you’re logging in, there’s no automatic lock-out if you get it wrong a certain number of times. If you’ve forgotten your password, just contact our Registrations Team and, after asking you some security questions, they’ll issue you with a temporary password that you can change to a new password of your choice when you next log in. The same password format criteria apply as when you first registered (see above)
The Registrations Team can be contacted on 0370 050 0274 (option 2)
Yes. As part of the online registration to get access to OLP Connect, you can enter your UNIPASS certificate details. Also, if you already have OLP Connect access you can associate your UNIPASS digital certificate to it. More details.
Yes. In OLP Connect, your access is not restricted to only those cases submitted using your log on details. You can view and manage all cases submitted under your agency number. The agent name on an application is determined by the log on details of who originally created it and cannot be changed.
There are 2 different levels of access to select from as part of your online registration:
The Standard level allows you access to business under your own agency number that you register with.
The Super User level allows you access to business under your own agency number that you register with and all other agency numbers associated with it (e.g. all other sub-agencies that share the same master agency number).
Within each access level there are 2 ‘roles’ to select from as part of your online registration:
The ‘Adviser’ role allows you to authorise and view all cases recorded under your agency number
The ‘Administrator’ role allows you to view all cases under your agency number but they must be checked and authorised by someone with Adviser privileges.
By using the right combination of access level and role and associating your staff’s login details with the right master and sub-agency numbers, OLP Connect can be a powerful tool for your adviser firm’s protection business. If you have questions about access levels and roles, our Registrations team can help on 0370 050 0274 (option 2)
They should register online themselves and obtain their own username and password. For out more.
When someone leaves, they shouldn’t pass on their login details and password, they should be revoked. You can’t revoke someone’s access yourself online, but our Registrations Team can do it for you. Please contact them on 0370 050 0274 (option 2).
If you share an agency number with the person who has left, you can probably already manage their applications through to completion anyway. Or it may be that you or someone else within your firm needs to have their access level changed or their role upgraded to be able to complete the applications started by your former colleague. The Registrations Team can arrange for this.
From the Adviser Centre homepage, from the ‘Quote and apply’ dropdown menu, select ‘Protection quote and apply’. Alternatively ‘click here’.
Yes. When you click the apply button, you’ll be re-directed automatically into OLP Connect. The quote data that you’ve already entered will automatically transfer over too, so you don’t have to enter it again.
The first time you log in, you’ll have to carefully read and accept the Terms & Conditions before you can start creating quotes and applications. You only have to do this once, though.
Until you update your profile, your correspondence and contact preferences are set to system defaults. This can result in documents being incorrectly addressed or displaying no addressee name. This may delay the processing of your business. Find out more: Manage My Profile
