Meet the Tax & Estate Planning Team at Legal & General
Trevor Finch (Top left)
Trevor is a Tax & Estate Planning Manager and has been with L&G approaching 7 years. He has been involved in the Financial Services industry with major life assurance companies for more years than he cares to remember and has been presenting to IFA’s for the past 20 years or more.
Trevor is a Fellow of the Chartered Insurance Institute and a Member of the Personal Finance Society.
His hobbies are mainly sports related as a member of Chelsea Football Club whom he has supported since a lad, a season ticket holder with Leicester Tigers Rugby and an avid follower of Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the USA's NFL.
Andrew Ridsdale (Bottom left)
Andrew joined the financial services industry in 1997 as a trainee Broker Consultant. He subsequently moved into an advisory role with a large accountancy practice where the primary focus was on investment and tax planning for high net worth individuals. This was followed by a move into the pensions arena as a Pension Transfer Specialist with an IFA network.
After working as a technical consultant for a bank providing support on all aspects of financial planning to its tied and IFA sales forces, he accepted the position of Technical Manager within a building society’s IFA division. At the end of 2004 he joined Legal & General where he has since provided technical support across a number of different product areas. He specialises in tax and estate planning issues and heads up the Tax & Estate Planning Helpdesk.
He is a Fellow of the Personal Finance Society and was one of its first members to be awarded the Chartered Financial Planner designation.
Claim to fame - he was one of the eight Broker Consultants who took part in a motivational "Fire Walk" over burning coals that went slightly wrong...
Mark Green (Centre)
Head of Tax & Estate Planning
Mark has been involved in the field of taxation for over 25 years, having gained considerable experience with the Inland Revenue, two major life insurance companies and as an IFA.
Mark has a Masters Degree in Law and is a member of the Society of Trust & Estate Practitioners, the Association of Taxation Technicians and the Society for Advanced Legal Studies. He is also a Fellow of the Personal Finance Society and a Chartered Financial Planner.
He is an excellent communicator, regularly presenting to IFAs and professional connections on a variety of tax and estate planning issues and has frequently been asked to comment in the national press.
Stacey Love (Centre)
Stacey started out in the accountancy profession in the late 1980’s, specializing in personal and corporate taxation. She spent 10 years with a number of Accountancy firms working in the personal tax field, before joining the Trust Department of a large accountancy practice. A few years later she joined the Executor and Trustee arm of an advisory firm where she stayed for over seven years, specializing in the administration and taxation of both UK based and offshore Trusts and Estates as well as advising non-UK domiciled clients in respect of tax planning opportunities.
Following her move to Legal & General in October 2007 she has co-run the dedicated Tax & Estate Planning helpdesk with Andrew, providing technical support to both internal and external advisers.
Rick Warner (Bottom right)
Rick is a Tax & Estate Planning Manager and has been with L&G since 2007. After nearly 30 years in the financial services industry, specialising in tax planning, he has accumulated a wealth of knowledge.
This has been gained across a variety of sectors, including life assurance, asset management and wraps. He has particular experience in the use of packaged IHT products and collective investments by individuals, trustees and corporate bodies.
Outside of work he is regularly exercised by his golden retriever but suffers from a rare affliction that makes him want to travel long distances by bicycle. He is still seeking a cure.
