Age/Sum Assured Evidence Limits
Introduction
Automatic evidence is requested even when there is no specific medical disclosures for the following reasons:
- Clients may be unaware that they have an increased risk factor
- Clients may have forgotten that they have an increased risk factor
- Clients may intentionally fail to disclose that they have an increased risk factor
By using age/sum assured limits there will always be a percentage of cases that are fully assessed at outset and therefore receive an accurate assessment of risk. This means that the rate of claims is more likely to remain within expectations.
The expected rate of claims is an important factor when it comes to setting pricing levels.
