What's covered by our buildings insurance?

With Extra and Essentials, you can choose from two levels of buildings cover to suit your needs. Whichever option you choose, you'll still get the same great service from a name you can trust.

Here's just some of the things that are covered with our Essentials buildings insurance and Extra buildings insurance so you can compare and see what level of cover is right for you. We've also provided a list of what isn't covered by our buildings insurance.

What isn't covered by our buildings insurance

• The first £150 for Essentials cover or the first £100 for Extra cover of compulsory excess on each claim (or for escape of water claims, the first £250 and in the event of subsidence, heave or landslip, the first £1,000)
• Storm or flood damage to fences, gates and hedges for both Essentials and Extra cover
• Routine maintenance or wear and tear for both Essentials and Extra cover
