When we are generally selling more units in a trust than are being bought, we usually base these prices on the costs of buying the underlying investments in the trust.
When we are generally buying more units, we usually base the prices on the costs of selling the investments. This movement between bases will affect the price at which you buy and sell units and the value of your investment on any particular day.
Some trusts have a larger difference between these two bases (the spread) than others. This tends to be the case for trusts that have significant investments in property, smaller companies or emerging markets.
The suffixes of (E), (R), and (A) denote the different classes of units in issue. The classes vary by charging structure. In addition some classes are only available to certain types of investors. The class of unit you have will be shown on your contract note and your statement.
