UK Alpha Trust
Risks
All investments carry an element of risk. Please bear in mind that:
- Although there is no fixed term, you should think of unit trusts and ISAs as investments of at least five years.
- Investments of this type may fall or rise in value and you may not get back the money you invest.
- The UK Alpha Trust has a large spread between the pricing basis as it has significant holdings in the Alternative Investment Market (AIM). This market is part of the London Stock Exchange that allows smaller, newer companies to issue shares and has a more flexible regulatory system. Holdings in this market tend to have larger differences between their buying and selling prices.
- The fund invests in smaller rather than larger companies which carry a higher degree of risk.
- The UK Alpha Trust focuses on a small number of companies which can make the fund a riskier place for your money.
- The UK Alpha Trust has its own aims and risk factors. These are detailed in the Key Information document (including Simplified Prospectus), which can be downloaded from the right-hand menu. Before you decide to invest, you must read this document.
