Investing for children - Growth Trust
Our Growth Trust is an actively managed fund that invests your money principally in UK companies with the potential for strong growth prospects.
The fund is managed by a dedicated team led by Robert Churchlow. Currently we invest your money in around 25 companies chosen from across the stock market and each specially selected for the opportunities it offers to grow your investments.
Because we are one of the largest investors in the UK stock market, we tend to find boardroom doors open to us and therefore we have excellent access to management teams. Every year our fund managers meet hundreds of businesses to understand their corporate strategy and assess their strength.
At the same time, the Growth Trust is managed by a small, highly-focused team who can react quickly and flexibly to changes in the market aiming to help your investments continue to perform well.
The fund invests in a relatively few individual holdings. Therefore, the returns from the fund can be significantly influenced by the performance of a small number of individual holdings.

If you buy the Growth Trust direct from Legal & General, there will be an initial charge of 3%. Otherwise, the initial charge is 5%. The annual management charge is 1.50% of the fund value, plus extra expenses, which are currently 0.03%. There is no withdrawal fee.
