Portfolio Bond provides access to a wide range of funds managed not only by us, but also external fund managers such as Investec, Jupiter and Schroders. It can provide an income, growth potential or a combination of both over the medium to long term.

Our Portfolio Bond might be the right choice for you if:

• You have £5,000 or more to invest.
• You are looking for an income, growth potential, or a combination of the two.
• You are prepared to invest for five years, ideally longer.
• You are prepared to accept some risk to your capital.
• You are a basic, higher or additional-rate taxpayer.
• You are looking for an investment that could also be used with a trust to reduce your estate’s liability to inheritance tax.
• You would like access to a wide range of investment funds.

Tax treatment depends on your individual circumstances and may be subject to change in the future.

You can invest in the Portfolio Bond for as long as you like. There is no set end-date but you should be prepared to invest for at least five years, ideally longer.

The value of your Portfolio Bond, and any income taken from it, can fall as well as rise and is not guaranteed. You may not get back all the money you invested.
