ISA transfers.

Whatever your reason to transfer, we've got a wide range of ISAs that'll give you some options if you're looking to transfer:

Thinking of moving your ISA?

You might have one or a number of  reasons for wanting to transfer your cash or stocks and shares ISA:

  • You feel you’re being charged too much by your current provider
  • You’d like to balance your portfolio, so you’re looking for a provider with more diverse funds
  • Your investment profile has changed and perhaps you’d now like an income from your investment rather than just reinvesting for growth, or vice versa
  • You’re looking for better service

Whatever your reason, we’ve got a wide range of ISAs that’ll give you some options if you’re looking to transfer:

Index-tracker ISA which follows the performance of a particular stock market – in the UK or abroad – with low management fees.

Actively managed ISA where investments are chosen by professional fund managers who constantly monitor companies, economic conditions and markets.

Income ISA which aims for regular income rather than growth.

Multi Manager ISA where you can aim for growth, income or a balance of both by investing in several funds at the same time through one simple fund-of-funds investment.

Ethical ISA which only invests in socially responsible companies.

Important things you should know about ISA transfers

  • Some of our funds invest overseas and are influenced by changes in exchange rates. This may cause your investment and your level of income to fall as well as rise.
  • Our funds are medium-long term investments, of five years or more.
  • Whilst your ISA transfer is being processed you can’t transfer it back, but you can withdraw your money and we won’t charge you for doing this.
  • If you withdraw the money during an ISA transfer, you may not get back the full amount that you transferred and you will lose this amount from your ISA allowance.
  • ISA transfers in would be subject to any standard initial charges that apply to some of our funds.
  • See Section 3 of the Key Information document for more information on ISA transfers.
  • Your transfer will take a minimum of 14 days to process.

What's a stocks and shares ISA?

  • It’s an ISA that invests in the stock market and can offer greater potential for your money to grow or provide you with an income, more than it would in an ordinary cash ISA.
  • You need to remember that the value of your investment and any income from it can fall as well as rise and unlike a bank or building society cash ISA your money isn’t guaranteed.

Can I transfer in a cash ISA or only a stocks and shares ISA?

  • In your ISA transfer you can also include cash or stocks and shares ISAs from previous years in full or in part
  • If you’d like to transfer this current tax year’s cash or stocks and shares ISA to us you’ll have to transfer the full amount you’ve invested in your ISA.
  • Remember that with an ISA transfer the minimum amount you can transfer to us is £500.
  • You can't transfer funds from a stocks and shares ISA to a cash ISA. Please also remember we don't provide a cash ISA product.
  • Your money will still be kept in an ISA and transferring won’t affect this year’s ISA allowance – so you won’t lose out on your tax benefits if you decide to switch to us.
  • We won't charge you to transfer your ISA to us but your current provider may. You might be charged an initial fee when you transfer your ISA to us.
  • You won’t benefit from any rise in the markets, whilst your ISA transfer is taking place and you could lose some income or growth.

Can my ISA transfer be completed online?

Unfortunately not. Before we can complete your ISA transfer, HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC) require us to get a signature from you. They do this to make sure you’ve authorised the ISA transfer – so it’s a step to protect you.  Once you’ve posted your completed transfer form to us you can let us do the rest.

Three easy steps to transferring your ISA:

  1. Decide which fund or funds you want to transfer into
  2. Download the ISA transfer form, fill it in and sign it
  3. Post your ISA transfer form to us at:
