What's included in the Insured Funeral Plan?

It’s not easy to think about planning for your funeral but taking a little time now could give you added peace of mind, ensuring that you can have the funeral you want without placing a burden on your loved ones.

We've teamed up with Dignity to bring you the Insured Funeral Plan. They're one of the UK's leading providers of funeral services, with a network of over 600 experienced funeral directors - many of whom have served their local communities for generations.

What's included in your Insured Funeral Plan:

Funeral Director's Services

• Advice and guidance on all aspects of the funeral
• Guidance on registration of the death and collection of all necessary paperwork
• Transport of the deceased to the Dignity Funeral Director’s premises (up to 20 miles) – in the UK only. Excludes ferry or air fare
• Preparation and care of the body (embalming not included).
• Family viewing, during week days by appointment during working hours.
• Quality wood effect coffin with high quality finish, fully lined and fitted
• Funeral Director and staff to attend the service
• Provision of hearse and one limousine
• Collection of charitable donations
• 24 hour telephone bereavement counselling

Cremation Third Party Costs

• Doctors' medical cremation certificates
• Ministers or officiants fees
• Cremation fee

Burial Costs

• If a burial is required, the Doctors medical cremation certificates, cremation fee and ministers or officiants fees are not covered by the plan. However, in these circumstances the plan will provide a contribution of £1,150 towards burial costs, which rises in line with the change in RPI. If the burial costs more than this contribution the difference would need to be paid by your personal representative at the time.
