Application referred

To assess your application we may require more information about your medical history and this will come from either

  • a telephone call to you
  • a visit from a nurse
  • a report from your doctor  

If we need medical infomation from your doctor we'll send you a Consent Form in the post which you'll need to sign and return (this authorises your doctor to send us your medical information).

Our experience suggests that doctors can take a number of weeks to send us the medical information. To reduce delay, you may wish to print off, sign and return the Consent Form PDF in one of the ways listed below (if you do this please ignore the Consent Form you receive by post and any text or emails chasing its return). Please note, in addition to your Name and Date of Birth, the Consent Form requires a 'Reference', this is your application number and can be found in the 'Thank You' email we've just sent you.

Options for returning the consent form:

In the meantime we give you free accidental death cover while we process your application (for up to 90 days and up to a maximum of £300,000).
