Use of your information: Legal & General takes your privacy very seriously and use the personal information collected via this form and any other information that you provide to Legal & General (“your information”) for the purposes of:

Given the global nature of Legal & General’s business, Legal & General may need to transfer your information to countries outside the European Economic Area in order to provide services to you.

If you make a claim, Legal & General will share your information (where necessary) with other insurance companies to prevent fraudulent claims.

Legal & General will check your details with fraud prevention agencies. If false or inaccurate information is provided and fraud is identified details will be passed to fraud prevention agencies. Law enforcement agencies may access and use this information.

Legal & General and other organisations may also access and use this information to prevent fraud and money laundering, for example, when:

• Checking details on applications for credit and credit related or other facilities;
• Managing credit and credit related accounts or facilities;
• Recovering debt;
• Checking details on proposals and claims for all types of insurance;
• Checking details of job applicants and employees;

Legal & General and other organisations may access and use from other countries the information recorded by fraud prevention agencies.

Where you have been introduced to Legal & General by a bank, building society or other third party, Legal & General will share your information with them to enable them to:

(b) send you marketing information about their products and services and products and services of companies in the Legal & General group and of third parties whose products and services Legal & General offers to its customers.

Sensitive data: By signing this form, you consent to Legal & General using the medical and health information provided in this form and any other medical information provided in the course of this application solely for the purposes of allowing Legal & General to underwrite and administer your policy. Your medical information (and other information collected via this form) may be disclosed to Legal & General’s reassurer and to any other insurance company to whom you apply for products or services.

You agree that Legal & General may obtain medical and health information from your doctor where necessary in order to assess your application.
