The Financial Services Authority (FSA) is the UK’s financial watchdog. The FSA has four statutory objectives set out in the Financial Services and Markets Act (2000) that its effectiveness is measured against, these are:
- Market confidence
- Public awareness (consumer education)
- Consumer protection
- The reduction of financial crime

The website includes:

- A debt test
- Hints and tips on managing your money, and
- A guide to money jargon busting
