The Coventry for intermediaries is running two big events to raise money for Coventry Cyrenians .
Coventry Cyrenians provides a range of services for homeless and vulnerable people in Coventry and Warwickshire. It’s the chosen charity of the Coventry for intermediaries and they’re hoping to raise a substantial amount of money for them.
The first event is a 48 hour charity donation. To celebrate the 10th anniversary of their pledges, the Coventry for intermediaries will give £10 to Coventry Cyrenians for each qualifying* mortgage application received in an average 48 hour period between 11 May and 8 June.
Kevin Purvey, Director of Intermediaries, says:
“Our pledges are the promises we made to intermediaries back in 2007. We’re the only lender to give 48 hours’ notice before we withdraw any of our mortgage products and we know this makes a real difference to intermediaries’ businesses and their clients. We’re hoping that our 48 hour charity donation will make a real difference to Coventry Cyrenians.”
The second charity event is a sponsored sleep-out.
Around 25 people from the Coventry for intermediaries team will sleep out on the night of 2 June. They’ll be raising money and asking for food donations as well as increasing awareness of the challenges faced daily by homeless people. This is the second sponsored sleep-out they’ve taken part in – the first raised nearly £2,500!
They’ll announce how much these two events have raised shortly after 8 June.
*Only applications for new mortgages from Coventry Building Society and Godiva Mortgages Limited will qualify. No other types of application (for example, further advances, product transfers and transfers of equity) are included.
