Hi, we’re Digital Mortgages. We’re the intermediary part of Atom bank – the UK’s very first bank built exclusively for mobile. 

We’re app-based, which means we’re not splashing out on high street branches, so we’ve got lower overheads. It also means our customers (and you) benefit. Low costs for us mean better rates for our mortgage customers.

We’ve taken a huge step away from traditional banks. We’ve created a transparent and low-cost way of tracking and servicing a mortgage which works through our self-service Atom bank customer app. It’s the very first of its kind in the UK for a mainstream residential lender. 

We’re here to make your life easier; with affordability calculations you can rely on, a common sense approach to lending criteria and our simple DIP process, you can get going in minutes. 

What’s more, our intuitive online portal means you track cases at every stage of the process and get updates when your customers do. 

For customers, the credit check will only leave a soft footprint on their credit history for a decision in principle and they use our nifty little app to track their mortgage journey.

The Atom Bank Customer App 

Our customer app is super simple and secure. It lets the customer:

  • Log in using their face, voice or a traditional passcode
  • Track their mortgage application at every stage
  • View all their important documents in the app’s Vault area
  • View and accept their mortgage offer in the app
  • Access your details, so they can easily come to you for advice
  • Access 24/7 help and support for the app

How the Digital Mortgages Journey works

Once you’ve advised your customer and progressed them through the DIP process to an accept decision, it’s over to the customer to:

  • Download the Atom bank app to their compatible smart device
  • This should be done by both applicants on separate devices, if it’s a joint application
  • Enter their mortgage activation code – they’ll will have already received this by SMS or email when the DIP has been submitted and accepted
  • Start tracking their mortgage journey in app (and you can do this too in your Portal)
  • Accept their offer and T&Cs in the app! Both applicants must accept the offer and T&Cs in their own app if it’s a joint application. 

You can log in to the Portal at any point to see where the case is at.

What does this mean for You?

We’re aiming to make your mortgage case handling quicker and more efficient, so you can spend more time advising. We’re also hoping we can make you, as well as our customers, better off. 

We don’t have branches or a sales team so there’s no dual pricing. Plus, any further advice the customer might need is arranged through you – and we pay a full procuration fee on new business and product retention. 

We offer 24/7 support to your customers, 365 days a year. 

We give you access to a dedicated Intermediary Support and Processing team.
