We offer a range of flexible protection benefits that can be designed to suit your client's budget and scheme requests, that also give their employees the choice of selecting certain levels of cover.

We're a leading provider of flexible benefits (Swiss Re Group Watch 2013). Our specialist flex consultants will help you tailor the right solution to fit your clients' needs.

These days you don't necessarily need complex administration in order to set up and run flex and voluntary benefits. However, incorporating group protection products does require specialist support. Every scheme is different and we use our expertise to bespoke our products to suit, whether it's a simple solution for 100 employees or a complex arrangement for organisations with thousands of employees.

We offer a range of flexible core benefits for your clients to provide for their employees.

Flex Schemes

  • Group Life Assurance - from 1 to 12 times salary and Group Dependants Pensions' from 15% of salary up to 4/9 of salary. The maximum individual benefit we'll insure for death in service benefits is £10 million.
  • Group Income Protection - our Multiflex solution allows employees to flex up from 40% to 80% of their salary as well as flex out from a two year limited term basis, up until benefit termination date or state pension age whichever is earlier. We'll pay benefit to the member's state pension age up to a maximum of their 70th birthday.
  • Group Critical Illness Cover - is available up to five times scheme earnings or £500,000, whichever is less.

Voluntary plans

We also provide voluntary plans for Group Life Assurance and Group Critical Illness Cover, where the costs are met by the employee through salary deduction or salary sacrifice. This includes optional cover for spouse and partners where costs are generally cheaper than individual policies because of the economies of scale of being part of a group arrangement.

  • Group Life Assurance for employees - £250,000 maximum benefits
  • Group Life Assurance for employee's partners - £250,000 maximum benefits
  • Group Critical Illness Cover - employees can cover up to the lesser of £250,000 or five times their P60 earnings. Their spouse, registered civil partner or unmarried partner can also be covered, up to the lesser of £150,000 or an amount equal to the employees benefit.

You need to know

We'll continue to provide cover and pay any valid claims as long as premiums are paid and the policy terms are met. Policy terms will be unique to each business and there are some circumstances where we won't provide cover. More details of the benefits and exclusions can be found in our technical guide.
