Group Critical Illness Cover.

What it is

Group Critical Illness Cover provides a tax free lump sum benefit to eligible employees who suffer from or undergo a specified insured condition after a specified survival period. We also offer a free telephone based employee assistance programme (EAP) – WorkLife Solutions with every scheme. The EAP service is provided by PPC Worldwide, it aims to help give employees support when they need it. Available 24 hours a day online and by phone, employees have unlimited access to experienced counsellors, legal representatives and nurses, 365 days a year.

What are the key features

  • We’ll pay a lump sum of up to five times scheme earnings or £500,000 (whichever is less) if the employee is diagnosed with the conditions we cover and survives a specified period, 14 days for most conditions.
  • Spouses and registered civil partners can also be covered for up to £150,000 or an amount equivalent to the level covering the member, if less.
  • Employees joining a voluntary plan can apply for cover for up to the lesser of £250,000 or five times their P60 earnings.

We’ll continue to provide cover and pay any valid claims as long as premiums are paid and the terms are met.
