Changes to Lifestyle Cover policy wording

Following a recent review of our Lifestyle Cover product, we’ve made some changes to our policy wording.

These changes are designed to ensure our policy terms remain clear for your clients and help them understand exactly what is and isn’t covered should they need to make a claim.These changes come into effect for new business today (15 March 2017) and for customers renewing from 10 April 2017.

What's changing?

  • We’ve updated a number of key definitions.

  • Added clarification under ‘CAN YOU CLAIM MORE THAN ONCE’ to confirm that in order to make a second claim your client will need to meet all the standard terms and conditions for a claim to be paid out

What do you need to do?

Any customers taking out a new Lifestyle Cover policy on or after 15 March 2017 will be sent our new Lifestyle Cover policy booklet and key features document in their welcome pack.
 
Existing Lifestyle Cover customers will be sent a copy of the new policy booklet, along with a summary of change (SOC) document, which helps to highlight the key amendments.

These documents will be included in renewal packs for policies renewing from 10 April 2016 onwards.

We’ve also updated the documents available via GIology. If you are giving documentation to any clients taking out a Lifestyle Cover policy on or after 15 March, please ensure they have the latest versions of our documents (dated 04/17).
