What is the fund's aim?

Aims to provide income and growth above those of a composite Bank of America Merrill Lynch Global High Yield Index*. The fund aims to outperform the Index by 1% per annum over rolling three year periods, before the deduction of any charges.

What does it invest in?

Invests in sub-investment grade (or high yield) bonds issued by companies around the world. Bonds are loans which pay a pre-set rate of interest (either set at a fixed level of varying in a pre-determined way).

How does it invest?

Actively managed, with the ability to invest at least 70% in bonds with a sub-investment grade (higher risk) credit rating. May also invest in bonds with an investment grade (lower risk) credit rating, and securities with bond-like features. Credit ratings give an indication of how likely it is that the issuer of a bond will be able to pay back interest and the loan on time.
