Our optional landlords contents insurance helps protect your household goods, furniture and furnishings in your rental property from events such as fire, storm, flood and theft.
We can provide cover up to £35,000 and provide up to £2 million of cover for your legal liabilities to third parties as a Landlord.
There is an option under your contents cover to include additional damage and malicious damage cover caused by your tenants for an additional premium.

|WHAT ISN'T COVERED|
£100 of each and every claim or £250 in the event of escape of water and (if chosen) accidental damage and malicious damage by tenants.
Loss or damage caused by escape of water or frost if the property is unoccupied for more than 40 consecutive days.
Loss or damage caused by malicious acts or vandalism, theft or attempted theft or leakage of oil if the property is unoccupied for more than 90 consecutive days. Additionally, if the property is unoccupied for between 40 and 90 days, the standard excess of £100 is increased to £500 for these perils.
Loss or damage resulting directly from the home being used for any illegal purpose.
Routine day-to-day maintenance, wear and tear or damage that happens gradually over a period of time such as damp or rot
Where optional accidental damage and malicious damage by tenants is selected - damage occurring where satisfactory credit references have not been obtained.
