Jasmine Birtles is a financial expert, TV presenter, author and business commentator. A stand-up comedian in a former life, Jasmine’s mission is to de-mystify money and give practical advice to help people get out of debt and better manage their finances.

She has set up, and runs, Moneymagpie.com, a lifestyle-based money website which has information on all aspects of personal finance, environmental and ethical living and on how to run a small business and make extra money. 

Jasmine first started talking about money in the late 90s when she worked as a journalist for the Business Unit at the BBC. As someone who had always run her own business, was bright and well-educated, she couldn’t understand why she was also in debt.

Then came her lightbulb moment – no one had ever taught her about money and any articles in the paper about money were written, in her opinion by boffins for boffins so she didn’t read them. She decided to use her comedy background combined with her journalist training and skills to explain money in a way that people would enjoy hearing about and, most importantly, would understand. She hasn’t looked back.

Now a regular on television, radio and the corporate speaking circuit, Jasmine is a trusted spokesperson on all money matters. Known as brilliantly straight-talking and knowledgeable, she can make even the most complex topics seem approachable.

Colin joined Legal & General as a corporate relationship manager in 2013.  He moved into member communications in 2019 helping to establish the DC member presentation team, which is responsible for delivering pension education presentations to Legal & General’s 4 million Workplace DC pension scheme members.  He is passionate about helping our members understand and engage with their pension savings and championing responsible investment.

Jeannette is a Senior Global ESG Manager and represents LGIM on the UK’s Company Reporting & Auditing Group. Jeannette joined LGIM in 2015 from USS Investment Management where she held the title of Senior Analyst, Responsible Investment.

Jeannette graduated from Anglia Ruskin University in 2008 and holds the CFA and CAIA charterships. In 2014 Jeannette was recognised by Financial News as one of the 40 under 40 Rising Stars of Asset Management.

Joanne is Chair of the Independent Governance Committee. Awarded an OBE for services to pensions in the 2003 Queen’s Birthday Honours, Joanne is a well-known figure in the pensions industry, having held many high-profile roles during her career

Meera is a member of the Mastertrust Board. Meera is an experienced digital leader, having worked across strategy, operations, analytics and client partnerships in both the US and UK, most recently at Google.
