Supporting climate transition in emerging markets

The Mastertrust trustees are proud to have worked with Legal & General as they join forces with other leading pension schemes to support climate transition in emerging markets.

Emerging markets are countries that are in the process of developing their economy and rapidly expanding.

The 12 schemes, including the Legal & General Mastertrust, have more than £400 billion assets under management and 18 million pension savers between them. We believe this means the schemes can offer powerful support with efforts to achieve climate transition targets by investing in emerging markets economies.
