Critical Illness Cover

Critical illness protection, without life cover

Critical Illness Cover provides a cash lump sum following a valid claim for a specified critical illness covered by the policy.

It can be taken without life cover, giving you greater flexibility to build protection around your client’s individual needs, priorities and existing arrangements.

One life, three risks. The right protection for each.

Why consider Critical Illness Cover?

Consider different protection needs separately

A client’s need for critical illness cover may be different from their need for life cover. Critical Illness Cover allows you to consider these needs separately and tailor your recommendation to your client's individual circumstances, needs and priorities.

Complement existing arrangements

It may be suitable for clients who already have life cover but want additional financial reassurance if a serious illness affects their income or future plans. It can also help address a particular need identified through a wider protection review.

Help reduce the financial impact

A serious illness can affect much more than a client’s health. It could place pressure on their income, household finances, and the plans they have worked hard to build. A successful claim provides a cash lump sum that can be used in line with their circumstances.

Support clients and their families

The impact of serious illness can extend beyond the person diagnosed. Children’s Critical Illness Cover is included as standard, while Wellbeing Support, provided by RedArc Assured Limited, and Care Concierge provide access to additional support from the start of the policy.
