Our approach makes us different

Our commitment to responsible investing is driven by the recognition that real assets have a significant impact on society and its ecosystem.

We’re highly conscious of our responsibility to go over and above the industry norm and we put Environmental and Social Governance (ESG) at the heart of our investment decision making.

We believe corporate and social responsibility should be integrated into the ‘lifeblood’ of companies affecting everything they do and every relationship they have whether with customers, suppliers, governments or the whole of society.

Stakeholder engagement

Stakeholder engagement is one of the key foundations on which our approach to responsible investment is based. Our stakeholders and clients expect us to integrate sustainability into our investment considerations.

Industry leadership

We are actively involved in numerous industry groups to ensure that we participate in industry-leading research standards and help to innovate new technologies and techniques. We respond to government consultations and encourage our investors and supply chain to consider how to go further on sustainability.

Social value

Creating social value is very important to us. We have a responsibility to ensure that our investors’ capital makes a positive impact and not only produces economic returns, but also does so in a way that has a net environmental and social benefit.

GRESB

Our commitment to responsible investing is driven by the recognition that real assets have a significant impact on society and its ecosystem.  It is on that basis, that we have participated in GRESB annually since 2012.  Our first submission was for our BMW fund –and in 2019 we submitted 16 of our funds for assessment.  All achieved Green Star status, with an improved average global score of 82 (from 80 the previous year).  Five funds achieved a 5 star status, three were ranked top in the UK and one – ADP – was awarded overall Global Sector Leader.
