L&G Lifetime Advantage Funds

What are Lifetime Advantage Funds?

The L&G Lifetime Advantage Funds (LAFs) aim to grow your pension value and are designed to match the year you plan to retire.

For example, when retirement is far away, the funds focus on growing your pension pot while managing risk. As you approach retirement, they gradually shift towards less risky investments to help you be retirement-ready.

To learn more about how the funds may invest at different stages of your journey , check out the Guide to Target Date Funds and the ‘How LAFs work’ tab.

Growing your pension investment

The funds invest your pension in a diversified mix of company shares and private market opportunities.

Approximately 15% of the funds are allocated to private market investments—an opportunity that most other pension funds typically don’t offer.

To explore what these investments are, check out the ‘Investment in numbers’ tab and the ‘Private Markets’ tab [INSERT LINKS].

Investing responsibly for better retirement futures

The value of your pension may be affected by the systematic risks across environmental, social and governance (ESG) areas which also bring opportunities.

Parts of the funds incorporate responsible investing strategies, with a focus on engagement, exclusion and enhancement.

Check out the ‘Responsible investing’ tab [INSERT LINK] to find out how the funds achieve this.
