Your investment options

Members of SAUL Start can invest their pension savings in either:

1. The default investment option

You will automatically be invested in this option unless you choose to invest in another fund. You can change where your pension is invested using Manage Your Account. The default option automatically adjusts where your pension pot is invested as you approach your selected retirement age.

2. An investment fund or funds selected by you

A fund can invest in a range of things such as property, shares, bonds and cash. It’s run by a fund manager whose job is to ensure that the objectives of the fund are being met on behalf of the investors.

You can find out more about the default investment option and the other funds available in the Investment Guide.

Balancing risk and reward

All investment involves a degree of risk. It’s important that you understand, and are comfortable with, the risks you're taking before making any investment choices.

Investment Guide includes a step-by-step guide to help you understand all the things you should consider before making any investment decisions.
