A L&G Workplace pension scheme member has requested a transfer from us to you.

Before we can proceed, we need information about the scheme they’ve requested a transfer to and confirmation that you’re able to receive the transfer funds.

This form is for transfers between UK tax registered pension schemes. We may conduct additional checks to meet our regulatory duties. 

Please complete all the requested information to avoid unnecessary delays.

Do not use the following characters when completing this form, it may stop the form getting to us correctly.

Workplace pension account numbers usually:

  • start with a '2', 
  • end in '01', and is
  • ten digits long (i.e. 2.......01)

If it's in drawdown already it'll start with an S and 9 digits (e.g. S123456789).

The transfer payment will be made direct to the receiving Life Office.

Include details about what type, jurisdiction (e.g. UK, Gibraltar, France, Spain etc) and any other relevant information.

Please read:

In accordance with HMRC guidance, it is not permitted for transfer payments to go via an independent broker except where:

  1. the broker is the scheme administrator for the receiving scheme Trustees bank account;
  2. the transfer is to a Self-Invested Personal Pension and the independent broker is acting as
  3. the Appointed Scheme Administrator within the SIPP.

In the event that any of the above situations apply, the responsibility will be on the broker to supply satisfactory evidence.

We the Receiving Scheme, or their authorised representative, declare and confirm that:

a) the new pensions scheme is registered with HMRC; 

b) the transfer is a recognised transfer; 

c) we will not take any action or omit to take any action which would result in an unauthorised payment; 

d) we will only use the transfer value to provide benefits permitted by registered pension schemes; 

e) we give Legal & General authority to approach and confirm the registered status of our scheme with HMRC; and 

f) this declaration is true and correct 

We the Receiving Scheme, or their authorised representative, agree and acknowledge that: 

i) we will not take any action of any kind, and we have no claim or right of action, against Legal & General in connection with the transfer; 

ii) Legal & General has no liability (actual or contingent) in respect of the transferred pension benefits.
