Mike makes sure that we’re there to support our workplace customers throughout their lifelong retirement saving and spending journeys. He looks to cut through complexity to help them make better decisions and achieve better outcomes. And of course he also ensures that we meet their needs in ways that work for us as a business.
He’s spent the best part of 20 years working in pensions and broader wealth management. He joined L&G in 2017 as Head of Customer Services for Workplace, which led to various senior digital and operational roles. He moved into a role heading up pension tracing and consolidation in 2021. Since then, his responsibilities have expanded to include developing some of the broader services Workplace customers need to help them save for retirement.
He joined us from digital wealth management platform Ascentric (now known as M&G Wealth), where he spent five and a half years working in pension operations and customer experience. That followed almost six years at HSBC, where he took up his first ops and customer experience roles.
Mike has a BA in Business Economics from Exeter University and a banking degree earned while completing his graduate training at HSBC. He’s based in Bristol. When he’s not cutting through complexity for our members, he enjoys spending time with his young family and tending his garden. A keen allotment gardener, Mike has recently broadened his skills to growing flowers for cutting and ornamental planting.
