Head of Proposition and Implementation
LGFA

Dan leads the development and delivery of our regulated advice offering. He makes sure that it’s competitive, follows all relevant regulations and – most importantly – gives our members what they need. His passion for good advice is based on his direct experience of the real, practical benefits it can bring. That’s supported by his drive to make advice as widely accessible as possible, rather than just serving people with bigger pots.

Before taking up his current role, Dan worked as a Key Account Manager and then a First Line Implementation Manager. Those two roles broadened and deepened his sense of what people need from their financial advisers. They also gave him a very practical sense of how we at L&G can deliver that and help our intermediaries deliver it too.

Dan joined us in 2021 after just over three and a half years at Aviva. He began his time there as a financial adviser. Then he broadened out to plan, build and implement new advice propositions for Aviva’s consumer customers. That followed almost six years at Nationwide Building Society. He began as a Personal Banking Manager, before becoming a Mortgage Consultant and then a Financial Planning Manager.

Over the years he’s built up a wide range of financial qualifications. Key ones include his Diploma for Financial Advisers, Certificate in Mortgage Advice and Practice. He's also achieved awards in defined benefit pension transfers and long-term care insurance.

Dan lives with his wife and daughter in Hull. When he’s not either spending time with them or helping our customers get better advice, you’ll generally find him keeping fit. He runs marathons, and loves hiking and cycling too. And he keeps his energy levels up with regular fitness classes.
