As a Life Technical Consultant, Nicola helps people within and beyond Legal & General get to grips with and follow all relevant trust and taxation legislation. There’s a lot of detail in her job, whether she’s going over the legislation itself or making sure that it’s being properly followed. She looks to cover it extraordinarily well!
And she’s got a lot of experience to draw on to help her do that. She joined us in 1998 from Sun Life of Canada, where she held various pension and protection roles. She also spent some time in Nestlé’s pension department, which left her with a deep respect for their financial arrangements and rather too many After Eight mints and Munchies bars! Before moving into financial services, she worked as everything from holiday jobs in a bingo hall to a tool maker and process chaser.
Since joining us she’s completed various financial qualifications in her own time. She also has an HND in mechanical engineering, and City and Guilds electronic servicing qualifications.
Nicola lives in Kent with her husband, daughter and cats. When she’s not deep in financial services legislation, she volunteers as an assistant Cub Scout leader, loves getting out on (or in) the water, and enjoys theatre or opera visits whenever she can.
