Amanda’s one of our Later Life Mortgage Advisers. She specialises in guiding customers through the complexities of lifetime mortgages with empathy, clarity and care. She’s been with us since 2020, first in Customer Service before moving into mortgage advice in 2021 – a role that perfectly blends her financial expertise with her passion for helping people.
Her Certificates in Regulated Equity Release (CeRER) and Mortgage Advice and Practice are complemented by her long term customer expertise. She has a particular interest in supporting vulnerable customers, ensuring that every interaction feels safe, respectful and tailored to their needs. More broadly, she looks to act in the best interests of every customer at all times.
Before joining us, she built up more than 30 years’ financial services experience in various retail banking roles at RBS. As well as professional knowledge and confidence, that gave her a very clear sense of people’s day-to-day financial needs, goals and behaviours.
She’s also worked beyond the financial world. For five years between RBS and L&G, she was a recruitment manager at a transport industry SME. That fine-tuned her ability to build a strong rapport with people from all walks of life, while also giving her an essential grounding in the broader business world.
For Amanda, the most rewarding part of her job is seeing the difference later‑life lending can make. Whether it’s easing financial pressure, enabling home improvements or opening up new later lifestyle possibilities, she loves knowing she’s helped change a customer’s life for the better.
Based in Solihull and living with her partner, Amanda is a proud mum and grandmother. Beyond work and family, she enjoys keeping fit at the gym and relaxing with a good TV series.
