Use Origo's agency services to electronically set up and manage your agency with us and other providers to be able to quote for guaranteed income products.
Agency registration
One electronic application is all your need to set up an agency with us and other participating product providers.
This secure electronic application speeds up the process compared to paper based approaches. You'll also receive electronic confirmation that requests have been completed.
If you have a new individual agency number you will be automatically registered to use our systems and will receive an email from our Auto Registrations mailbox with your user details.
If you're not new to us but haven't set up your agency number for our online services, you can do this via the link below.

Agency administration
Electronically submit changes to your agency details to us and other participating product providers and get an electronic confirmation that it's been changed. Administration capability includes:
- Change of address
- Change of bank account
- Request for additional agencies
- Request for agency closures
- Maintain Service Providers and Panel Memberships
- Transfer of business and novations.

Whether you’re entirely new to us or looking to generate a quote, the easy steps below will help you get set up to do business with us.
Do I need an agency number?
Yes. If you're here for the first time and are looking to write business with us, you'll need to apply for an agency number.
You can do this via Origo.
Once you've registered, you'll then be automatically registered to use our systems and will receive an email from our auto registration mailbox with your user details.
Already have an agency number?
If you have a new individual agency number you will be automatically registered to use our systems and will receive an email from our Auto Registrations mailbox with your user details.
How can I check that I have the correct Legal & General agency number?
If you’re not sure if you have the correct Legal & General agency number, contact your Account Manager who can check this for you, alternatively call our agency enquiry helpline on 03709 005010 or email agency.enquiries@landg.com.
The retirement health and lifestyle form
The retirement health and lifestyle form is an industry standard form used to gather medical data, specific to your client, to produce an underwritten annuity quote. We require this information to be used within a whole of market research portal to generate the quote. How do I generate a quote?
The retirement health and lifestyle form is the Electric Common Quotation Request Form and allows you to gather medical and lifestyle information to present to each individual provider. Once complete, for us, the information will need to be entered into the appropriate whole of market research portal in order to generate a fully guaranteed underwritten quote. Alternatively, if you've medical information in addition to the retirement health and lifestyle form, such as hospital letters, these can be emailed to broker.annuityquotes@landg.com for consideration.
Can I start a quote and complete it later?
Yes, you can 'part complete' the request - for example, if additional information needs to be obtained to help the application. The portal will let you save, retrieve and edit partly and fully completed quote requests.Re-quoting
We provide you our best quote, first time, every time and guarantee this for 40 days. If you need to obtain a new quote or need to change any of the details, you can retrieve and edit your quote on the portal.Help and support for you

If your quotations are being returned as indicative due to an agency number issue, the below guides should help to resolve the problem:
- The Exchange (Iress) - A common issue can be found in Iress agency solution guide.pdf PDF size: 255KB. This issue can be simply resolved by updating your account on the Iress portal
- Assureweb - A common issue can be found in Assureweb agency solution guide PDF size: 362KB. This issue can be simply resolved by updating your account on the Assureweb portal.
What are some of the most common errors made on product application forms?
Our application forms include guidance notes to help you complete the product application form, missing or inaccurate information can cause delays.
It is important that you provide a valid email address and telephone number so that we can get in touch with you if we have any queries or require further information in order to progress the application,
To help support you when completing your product application, we’ve highlighted some of the most common errors/ missing information below:
- What is your Legal & General agency number?
If the wrong number is provided, this will cause delays. If you’re not sure if you have the correct Legal & General agency number, contact your Account Manager who can check this for you, alternatively call our agency enquiry helpline on 03709 005010 or email agency.enquiries@landg.com. - Details of each purchasing or transferring pension scheme(s) including any Legal & General schemes.
- Details of where pension payments and any tax-free cash are to be paid
- Signed declarations with the correct date.
- Where medical/lifestyle information is provided, your clients GP details should be included on the application form.

What should I do if my client is unable to return the hard copy form with the original signature?
We understand that sometimes it may be difficult for your clients to print, sign and return documents via post, so in these circumstances we can accept client confirmation via email as an alternative to a signature.
You can do this as follows:
- Complete a digital or paper copy of the product application form, print it (if using the digital version), sign the Financial Adviser/Intermediary section, scan the completed document and email it to your client.
- To gain your client’s permission, you must copy and paste the wording below and send this to your client along with the scanned application form.
I [CLIENTS FULL NAME] confirm that, by sending this email, agree to the terms set out in the ‘Declaration’ section of the application form and agree to the use of my information as described in the privacy policy.
- Your client should then reply, including the above wording in their email.
- Once you have the confirmation from your client, please email completed application forms and your client’s email confirmation, via one of our secure methods (see below), to annuities.quotes@landg.com. Please note: We cannot process an application without either your client’s signature or their email confirmation.

Secure email
Messages sent by normal email cannot be guaranteed to be completely secure as they may be intercepted, lost or corrupted. As part of our commitment to ensure that customer information is secure, we offer two secure email solutions. These provide an additional level of assurance when communicating confidential information between us.
There are currently two solutions available:
- TLS – This is suitable for firms who run their own email domain services or have a hosted service that can support TLS. Legal & General have around 2000 ‘trusted’ domains who send us (and we send them) email via this secure method. It involves the installation of an electronic certificate on firm’s email server that establishes a secure connection each time an email passes between your and our email servers. If you are interested in using this solution please contact your Account Manager.
- Legal & General secure email (BeSecure) – This is a web-based service that anyone can use. To set-up a secure email account please complete the online form at Legal & General Secure Email Set-upView - Legal & General Secure Email Set-up. You will receive an email from our secure email server with details on how to set-up the account. Once the account is set-up you can send us applications and other documentation in a secure way. This solution is only to be used for clients who are unable to submit an application with a wet signature, and should not be used as a solution for all clients.

Our application process
We’ve outlined the key stages in our guaranteed income application process so that you know what to expect at every stage, from the application being received through to the first payment being made.

Application received
You will receive a welcome email from us to confirm that we’ve received your client’s application, we'll let you know if you need to supply any further information to support the application.
At this stage, we’ll start to request funds from your client’s pension provider.

Funds received
It usually takes up to 10 working days to receive the funds from your client's pension provider. We’ll get in touch with your client’s pension provider after 10 working days if the funds haven't been received.

Final quote
Once we have received the funds from your client's pension provider, we'll take five working days to process the final quote for your client’s retirement income policy.
It will be sent to you via the email that was provided on the application form. We can send the quote by post if you prefer.
We'll authorise
We’ll auto authorise the final quote straight away if our annuity rates haven’t changed. If there has been a change to our annuity rates, then we’ll send the updated quote via email.
If your client is happy with the quote, you can confirm acceptance by replying to our email or by telephone. Within three working days we'll authorise the policy and arrange for the first payment to be made.

First payment
Depending on the payment options selected by your client, payment will be made in advance or in arrears:
Advance: The first payment will be received within 10 working days of authorisation.
Arrears: Depending monthly or yearly frequency has been selected, the first payment will be on date the funds are received. For example, if funds are received on the 14 of the month and ‘monthly in arrears’ is selected, the first payment will be made on the 14 of the following month.
Tax-free cash for Pension Annuity: If your client has chosen open market option your client will receive their tax-free cash as soon as the pension provider has released the funds. If they have chosen immediate vesting, then your client's tax-free cash will be paid within 10 working days of authorisation.
Tax-free cash for Fixed Term Retirement Plan and Cash-Out Retirement Plan: Your client's tax-free cash will be paid within 10 working days of authorisation.
