Changes in tune with your business

We know that demands have changed. We've reviewed incidence rates to identify illness trends. And we've analysed market expectations to improve our product where it's needed.

What's new?

  • We've added new cancer definitions including cutaneous lymphoma and some progressive sarcomas. We've also reversed the low-grade thyroid cancer exclusion (it's still part of core Critical Illness Cover).
  • We've broadened our severe Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis definitions, replacing them with broader cover for severe bowel disease to include diverticulitis.
  • We've added cover for severe mental illness.

  • We've added payment for skin cancer, pacemaker insertion and infective endocarditis.
  • We've increased our pay outs from the lower of 50%/£30k to a maximum of 50%/£35k.
  • We've broadened our Crohn’s disease definition and replaced it with broader cover for bowel disease.

  • We now cover kids under legal guardianship.

  • We've increased the age of cover from their 22nd birthday to their 23rd.
  • We've increased our payments for conditions covered under Children's Critical Illness Extra and Children’s Terminal Illness from the lower of 50%/£35k to a maximum of 50%/£40k.

Five reasons to offer our Critical Illness Cover

We’ve fine-tuned our protection to make it a better choice for you and your clients as illnesses, health and demands change. Here are five reasons to offer our cover.

With two-thirds of our claims being cancer-related, we know that clients are coming to you with concerns about cancer cover. So we’re adding cover where it’s needed.

Our additional payments protect your client’s lump sum, as it would still be paid in the event of a valid claim for one of our specified critical illnesses. Making our offering even more reassuring.

Unlike other providers, your clients’ kids don’t need to remain in full-time education to be covered.

With our cover, Wellbeing Support and Care Concierge begin on day one for the whole family and Wellbeing Support extends beyond the claim. Not just when serious illness happens.

With us, there’s no cut-off period for making a claim*. So your clients can concentrate on putting their recovery first.
