Please note the following guidance for properties which are in close proximity to a commercial business based on their planning use Class. Acceptability is subject to valuation and whether the valuer considers the proximity to commercial premises to materially impact the marketability of the property.
Class E (Formally A1)

Please note a Sandwich Shop can fall into Class A1 if no hot food is prepared. Primary cooking cannot take place on class A1 premises, but hot dishes can be prepared off site and held at a set temperature or reheated. (This is a model that for example Eat, Pret-A-Manger and other lunchtime favourites are using to meet A1 requirements).
