Online Insurance Experience (ONIX) is the exciting next generation of our digital quote and buy experience. We’ve reimagined the traditional platform to offer a service that’s designed to help give you confidence, control and flexibility in a simple, easy to use platform. ONIX allows you to arrange group income protection and life assurance benefit for any size of business covering at least 10 employees, by easing the traditional restrictions. We’ve designed ONIX to help you create an online quote that captures your client’s specific requirements. ONIX offers the best of both Worlds, with quick access to many quotes through automated underwriting as well as identifying and referring your less common client requirements for our scheme underwriters to review – all in one quick, efficient and reliable platform. Put Group Protection at your fingertips, with ONIX.
We’ve made the switch from Digital Broker Platform to ONIX as seamless as possible for you. Any completed quotes on Digital Broker Platform will be available to view and buy on ONIX.
Any incomplete Digital Broker Platform quotes will need to be finished by you, and once complete, will be available on ONIX too. Digital Broker Platform will remain open for a period to ensure that you have plenty of time to do so.
Enhancing our security for you and your clients
As part of our on-going commitment towards the protection of data for you and your clients, we’ll soon be introducing upgrades to our online registration, authentication, and authorisation services for a number of Legal & General web applications, including ONIX.
These enhancements will not only increase data security but will also help to provide you with a more efficient ONIX experience.
As part of this process, we will be asking you to register your work email with us rather than using a group address with multiple users, or sharing login details, this will allow better security for you, your clients information and improve the use of our ONIX contact preferences for notifications.
Three simple steps
From 23 November 2022, when accessing ONIX, you’ll be prompted with the following steps.
- Enter your existing user ID within the new login screen.
- Update your password to a 12-character minimum following the requirements noted on screen.
- Confirm your personal details.

- Increased security with Multi Factor Authentication (MFA) - two stage authentication using text or email verification codes to confirm your identity.
- Self-service password reset to allow a change of password without having to call us.
- Enhanced adviser registration processes to set-up any additional advisers or administrators simply and quickly.
Getting ready ahead of time
To help ensure a smooth switch over, we would encourage all ONIX users to make a note of their current login password before 23 November 2022.
