As LGHF’s Head of Product, David’s responsible for bringing new products to market and making sure that our existing products stay marketplace relevant. He leads a team of four product, customer outcome and proposition managers.
He’s driven by a strong personal commitment to real innovation that meets genuine customer needs. Most recently, that’s led to the development and launch of our equity release industry-leading Payment Term Lifetime Mortgage. He and his team’s other responsibilities include horizon scanning for new financial and social developments, understanding the impact of regulatory and market developments and making sure that we’re taking good care of our vulnerable customers.
David joined us as a Product Manager in 2016, before becoming LGHF’s Head of Pricing & Analytics in 2019 and then its Head of Operational Development in 2020. His key achievements along the way include leading the creation of our Optional Payment Lifetime Mortgage and onboarding a new product originations and servicing platform, which helps us better serve our advisers and customers.
Before coming to L&G David worked in a range of customer-facing and corporate roles at The West Brom and the Halifax, where he gained a very personal sense of what people need and want from financial services providers. His time at the Halifax overlapped with his studies at Birmingham City University, giving him hands-on experience that supported his BA Hons in Business and Advertising.
David now lives with his husband and their dog, a much-loved miniature labradoodle, in a small village just outside Solihull. He enjoys live music and travel, with his next big adventure being a road trip down the east coast of the USA.
